Hi all, hope you are having a restful weekend! It has been some time since my last post as I was vacationing in Italy for the last two weeks, missed Italian food and coffee already! I will be sharing my holiday outfits in the next few posts, do stay tuned! It is springtime in Italy now and the weather was really colder than anticipated. Temperatures were wide-ranging from 13 to 29 degree celsius, so that made packing a little challenging. I wasn’t very well prepared for the cold and only brought one leather jacket along. Good thing that my hubby packed a light down jacket for me in his luggage, so I can layer on when it gets very cold.
The pictures in this post were taken during our second day in Rome. We started the day with breakfast at the Via Veneto, one of the most famous streets in Rome and checked out the usual tourist attractions in Rome like the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the Colosseum. Though we aren’t history buffs, we really enjoyed ourselves, taking in the sights.
Beautiful sidewalk cafes such as this is a common sight on the Via Veneto
I picked up this leather jacket in Taipei last year and really liked the vibrant colour!
A lovely window display by Bvlgari
The ever crowded Spanish Steps
Resting for some people-watching
We did the underground tour which came with access to Level 3 of the Colosseum. The guide did a great job and we could already start to imagine the activities which took place in the past. Most of them brutal and violent, really gave us the shudders…
The day drew to a close with night shots of the Colosseum against the backdrop of the evening sky
